Consultation ISO/IEC 17025:217

SO / IEC 17025 is an ISO standard used by laboratories which is a general requirement for testing and calibration laboratory competencies. In some large countries, ISO / IEC 17025 is an accreditation standard to be considered technically competent. In many cases, suppliers and authorities will not accept testing or calibration results from laboratories that are not accredited. Initially ISO / IEC 17025 was issued by the International Standardization Institute in 1999. Compared to the ISO 9000 series of standards, ISO / IEC 17025 is more specific in the competency requirements that apply directly to organizations that have testing and calibration laboratories. Since the publication of the initial series, the second release was made in 2005 after it was agreed that ISO / IEC 17025 is needed to have a stronger quality system that is in line with the ISO 9001: 2000 series.
